My dad and I found two baby yellow bellied sliders(at least we think that's what they are) in the wild. We caught them and brought them home. We bought a 10 gallon tank, and a lamp, and I put some rocks in there for a place to bask. I put in a small feeder fish, only to find that it was most likely to big for them to eat. I put in a few little pellets that my larger turtle eats, but they haven't eaten any. They've stopped trying to dig their way out(which I believe is a sign of stress) but they still wont eat. It's been a day, and after two I have to let them go. I'm not sure what to feed them since they are so small(each one being about and inch to an 2 inches in width). Also, I filled the tank with spring water, but I was wondering of regular old tap water would be fine (note: that's what I use for my larger pet store turtle). Any help is great.

Try feeding them dark green lettuces and some fruits, such as strawberries or grapes. You could also try planting some aquatic plants in the tank; they might nibble on them and it would make them feel more confortable.
Also, a ten gallon aquarium is way too small for two baby turtles. If you;re planning on keeping them for a long time, please get a bigger tank. However, it should be fine if you;re just keeping them for a week or so.
