   I don’t think the coating could be comprimised that easily by lets say having it in your pocket and a key touches the screen….it creates a vacuum and essentially seals the phone like if it were in an air-tight bag…I would get it for accidental splashes and if I were on the phone in the rain. Even though it appears to work I would not buy it to use my ipone as an underwater camera….too risky
