Do Babies Know Hate?When babies are in the womb, their world is perfect. It is the "Garden of Eden" that all of us are looking to get back to. There is no hate or jealousy there, a perfect paradise. When the baby is born, the poor think is expelled from paradise and sent into a flawed world. In this flawed world the baby will learn all sorts of things; eating, sleeping, making messes and unfortunately how to hate. While in the womb, babies are very content. They have everythng they need, everything they could ever want. This is where everyone of us is trying to get back to. All of our efforts, all of our goals and aspirations, regardless of intent or size, are always the intended end result- to get back to the safety, sanctity and serenity of the womb. All of our rages, hatreds, and frustrations are all a result of being separated from that joy. Where did it go? None of actually remember being in the womb, but all of us want to get back there. There is a way to make it better. While one cannot reverse time and go back, we can as parents make the baby a little less frustrated and angry. Although the baby has been separated from the womb and that frustration does exist, the baby sling can help. The baby will feel safe and secure for a little while longer and make things a lot easier for the baby in the long run, psychologically speaking. Frustration and anger abated for the time being.
